Betty L. (Klavohn) Wahlheim

Betty L. Wahlheim, 85, of Geneseo, passed away Thursday, February 04, 2016, at Hillcrest Home in Geneseo. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Reverend Bruce Bergthold will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, February 8th at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory, Geneseo.  Memorials may be made to the Betty Wahlheim Memorial Fund, to be distributed among several charities.

Betty was born on July 9, 1930, in Cambridge, IL, the daughter of Louis and Martha (Kunter) Klavohn.  She graduated from Galva High School and graduated with a degree in cosmetology from the Sterling Beauty School in Moline.  Betty was united in marriage to Willard L. Wahlheim on August 15, 1948, in Cambridge, IL.  He preceded her in death in 2011. She had been a real estate agent for 13 years, working for Stan Swanson Realty and Betty Powell Realty.  Betty enjoyed golfing and playing cards as well as entertaining family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters; Doris (Darrell) Hutchinson of Atkinson, IL, and Linda (Jim) Lundquist of Geneseo, IL; grandchildren, Darren Hutchinson and Amy (Brian) Bogner; great-grandchildren, Zach and Matthew Bogner and brother, Irvin Klavohn of Kewanee, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters.
