Dolphin C. Pederson

Dolphin C. Pederson, 89, of Osage Beach, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016.   A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 30th at Winning Wheels Chapel in Prophetstown, IL.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Salute Inc., 14 N. Bothwell, Palatine, IL 60067.  Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory, Geneseo is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dolphin was born on March 10, 1926 in Jasper, MN the son of Dolphin and Ava (Meadows) Pederson.  He was united in marriage to Karen K. Resner on December 16, 1971 in Denver, CO.  Dolphin proudly served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII in the Pacific.  Dolphin was a member of the Harper Chapel Methodist Church in Osage Beach, MO.  He enjoyed flying and boating.  He also had an elaborate model train collection.  His life was dedicated to his family and serving the Lord.

He is survived by his wife Karen; sons: Gary Pederson of Cleveland, TN, and Col. Shawn Pederson of Prophetstown, IL; grandchildren: Brittani, Brendin, Logan, and Audrey Grace; and sister: Ave Mae Smith of Greely, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Jack.
