Eunice Brennan Obituary

Eunice Marie Brennan, 87, of Geneseo, died peacefully on May 10, 2019, at Betty’s Garden Memory Care in Kewanee, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Per her wishes, there will not be a visitation or funeral service. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Vandemore Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

 

Eunice was born on September 23, 1931, in Moline, IL, the daughter of John and Ada Mae (Nimrick) Brennan. She graduated from Cambridge High School, in the class of 1949. She married Everett Schnowske, Sr., on August 12, 1952. They owned and operated Schnowske-By-Products for many years. They later divorced.

 

Eunice was a proud and loving homemaker. Her most fulfilling and enjoyable time was at the lake house in Oak Run, with family and friends. She prided herself on cooking and caring for all. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, golfing, gardening, and most of all, reading novels.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Everett (Dawn) Schnowske, Jr.; daughters, Teresa (Larry) Martens, and Lorinda (Ken) De Reu, all of Atkinson; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Millie Jean Palmer and brother, Keith Robert Brennan, both of Cambridge; and friend Everett Schnowske,, Sr. of Altona, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Mae Brennan, sister, Bonnie Mae Leander and brother, Johnny Earl Brennan.
