Glen H. Highsmith

Glen H. Highsmith, 89, of Geneseo, IL, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Hillcrest Home in Geneseo. Cremation Rites have been accorded by Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory in Geneseo. No services will be held.

Glen was born on January 2, 1927, in Clay City, IL, the son of Clarence and Muriel Highsmith.  He was united in marriage to Jackie E. Vincent on August 23, 1960, in Robison, IL.  He was a locomotive engineer with Rock Island Lines for over 30 years, from which he retired.  Glen enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; son, Barry Highsmith of Moline, IL; step-sons, Ron Holdridge of Geneseo, IL, Kevin Holdridge of Florence, CO, and Jack Holdridge of Rochester, MN; step-daughter, Sue (Todd) Nicholson of Hillsdale, IL; two grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
