J. Lucille (Fosdick) Pease

J. Lucille Pease, 94, of Geneseo, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.  A Memorial Visitation will be from 2-5 pm on Saturday, January 21st at the Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo.  As per her wishes, Cremation Rites have been accorded by Vandemore Crematory.  Private inurnment will be at a later date at Liberty Cemetery in Atkinson.  Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association.

Lucille was born on August 12, 1922 in Cornwall Township in rural Atkinson, IL, the daughter of Joel and Hazel (Clark) Fosdick.  She was a 1940 graduate of Geneseo High School and was united in marriage to Nicholas Breid Pease on December 4, 1945.  He preceded her in death on December 14, 1985.   Lucille was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the United Presbyterian Women’s group.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidering, and playing cards.

She is survived by her daughter Betty (Steve) England of Toulon, IL; her son, Ron Pease of Oglesby, IL; granddaughter, Jenny (Sean) McCauley of McKinney, TX; and great grandson, Nolan McCauley of McKinney, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and 2 brothers, Joel and Dean.
