Jackie Denison

Jackie Denison, 86, formerly of Geneseo, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, with her family by her side at Family Hospice and Palliative Care in Pittsburgh, PA.  A memorial service will be held at Homewood Cemetery Chapel in Squirrel Hill on July 20th at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Geneseo Art League, 125 North State Street, Geneseo, IL 61254.  Local inurnment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo.  Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory, Geneseo is assisting with arrangements.

Jackie was born in Alton, IL, on October 19, 1929, the daughter of Henry (Cotton) and Marie (Kane) Boehl.  She was united in marriage on June 13, 1953, to Ben E. Denison in Chicago, IL.  He preceded her in death in March of 2008. Jackie was an avid reader, an accomplished artist, a lifelong lover of music, and an amazing gardener. She was a lifelong learner who graduated with a BS from college at the age of 60. 

She is survived by her sister, Muriel Slater of Milwaukee, WI; seven children, Eileen (Warren) Stern of Chicago, IL, David (Dawn) Denison of Elburn, IL, Teresa (Tim) Jonasson of Naperville, IL, Mary Denison (Chris Mark) of Pittsburgh, PA, Elizabeth (Bill) Parrish of Geneseo IL, Annie Denison (Adam Berzowski) of Milwaukee, WI, and Josie (Chuck) Cashdollar of Pittsburgh, PA; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
