James H. Clark

James H. Clark, 71, of Colona, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his home.  A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21st, at Vandemore Funeral Homes, Geneseo. Military Honors will be accorded by Don Cherry VFW Post # 5083.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11a.m.-1p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Genesis Hospice.

James was born on November 26, 1944, in Atlantic City, NJ, the son of James H. and Mildred (Ludwig) Clark.  After Ggraduating from high school, he joined the US Coast Guard. He proudly served for 30 years in numerous locations.  James also served for 18 years in the Army Corp of Engineers in Rock Island.  James was united in marriage to Marguerite A. Bantya on July 29, 1967, in New Jersey. James collected lighthouses.  He enjoyed working around the house.  He loved riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; daughter, Julie (Paul) Dodds of Waukegan, IL; son, Joshua Clark, of Norfolk, VA; granddaughters, Katlyn Pierce, and Christine Clark; sisters, Judith Glick, of Cardiff, NJ, and Joanna Idler, of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
