James David McCollough

James David McCollough, 31, of Geneseo, passed peacefully in his home on Monday, May 20, 2019.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2019, from 2-5 p.m. at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be directed to James David McCollough Memorial Fund.

David was born on August 23, 1987, in Kewanee.  He was a graduate of Geneseo High School in 2007.  He enjoyed working on cars, participating in demolition derbies, listening to country music, playing video games, and hanging out with friends.  Many remembered him as always being happy, sharing lots of laughs, and always willing to offer a helping hand when needed.

Left to cherish his memory include his mother, Kathy McCollough, Geneseo; son, Jax McCollough, Savannah; aunt, Carla (Joe) Dunbar, Wyoming; special friend, Carol Wall, Bradford; along with many other family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ella Hoopes, and James Ward.
