Jean M. Ringberg
Jean M. Ringberg, 74, of Woodhull, IL passed away Wednesday, May 17th 2017 at Unity Point Health – Methodist in Peoria, IL. Funeral mass will be Monday, May 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Woodhull, Father Burns will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Woodhull. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be left in her memory to the Jean Ringberg Memorial Fund. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jean was born May 10, 1943, the daughter of Leonard and Selina (Cauwels) Vermeire, in Geneseo, IL. She was a graduate of Alwood High School. Jean went on to pursue beautician’s license and cosmetology. She married William R. Ringberg on July 25th, 1964 in Geneseo, IL. Jean worked at National Seal in Galesburg, IL as an accountant for many years, and then later was a part-time accountant for Compton Accounting in Kewanee, IL. She loved to go camping, and was a member of the Winnebago Camping Club. Jean also enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her family, and attending all of her family’s events. She was a member of the St. John’s Church in Woodhull.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband William; her son Scott (Kim) Ringberg of Evansville, WI; her daughter Kim Wexell of Galva, IL; sister Marilyn (Barry) McVietty of Geneseo, IL; grandchildren: Jennifer Ringberg, Mathew Ringberg, Ben Gulliksen, Connor Gulliksen, Cody Wexell, Kyle Wexell, Brett Wexell; and sister in-law Judith (Jim) Werthmann of Sun City, AZ.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Selina.
