John C. Reigle

John Charles Reigle, 92, of Geneseo, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home.  As per his wishes Cremation Rites have been accorded and there will be no services held.  Vandemore Funeral Homes, Geneseo is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.

John was born on December 6, 1922 in Sterling, IL, the son of Charles W. and Alta L. (Heaton) Reigle. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during WWII.  He married Peggy Wexell on December 10, 1978 in Princeton, IL.  John was a welding supervisor for the Steel Mill.  He loved wintering in Apache Junction, Arizona.  He was a member of the Apache Junction American Legion Post #0027.

He is survived by his wife Peggy;  daughters: Marilyn (Ray) Mangan of Rock Falls, IL, Rebecca (Ron) DeHerrera of Stockton, CA, Cindra (Ken) German of Cambridge, IL, Robin Smith of Geneseo, IL; sons: Charles Reigle of St. Petersburg, FL, Brett (HaiJin) Fuller of Fairfax, VA; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Darlene.
