Judith R. Harvel

Judith R. Harvel, 76, of Geneseo, passed away on Wednesday, January 03, 2018, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, IL. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Reverend Dr. Chris Ritter will officiate. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Memorials may be left to the Judith Harvel Memorial Fund. Cremation rites have been accorded. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

Judith was born on July 10, 1941, the daughter of Clarence and Edith (Spear) Logsdon, in Peoria, IL. Judith married Loren Dagit, they later separated. Judith then married Ernest Harvel. Ernest preceded her in death. She worked for Pinks Bus Service as a bus driver, and for Hy-Vee in Canton, IL in the produce department for several years, from which she retired. Judith was a member of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and playing cards with her family. Most of all, Judith loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Rob Dagit, Geneseo, and daughters, Diane (Rock) Holke, Geneseo, Dawn Milroy, Colona, and Denise (Darin) Dralle, Geneseo. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edith, husband, Ernest Harvel, two daughters, Deb Goodwin and Dinah Baker, and a brother, Larry Logsdon.
