Kevin G. DeJaeger

Kevin G. DeJaeger, 59, of Geneseo, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Trinity ICU, Bettendorf, IA. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo. Reverend Lynn Bergren will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Memorials may be left to the Geneseo Humane Society. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

Kevin was born on June 6, 1958, the son of Gerald R. and Sharon (Johnson) DeJaeger, in Moline, IL. He was a Geneseo High School, class of 1976, graduate, and later graduated from Marycrest College with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. He married Mary Ann Levine-McHaney, the couple later divorced. Kevin married Kathryn L. Roth on July 21, 2001, in Geneseo, IL. Kevin was working as a Network Analysist for United Health, and had been employed there for over 30 years. He was a very talented computer and electronics technician. Kevin loved doing yard work and was looking forward to flying the drone he had just bought. Kevin loved his cat, Joe, and his dogs, Skipper and Bella. He was a member of the Geneseo Moose Lodge and First Lutheran Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife, Kathy DeJaeger, father, Gerald DeJaeger, son, Darren (Dana) DeJaeger, Winter Park, FL, and daughter, Tara (Ralph) Roman, Dixon. He has three grandchildren, Benjamin, Shae, and Aiden. His siblings are, brother, Kenneth DeJaeger, Norwalk, CT, and sister, Kathleen DeJaeger, Geneseo. 

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon DeJaeger, on September 20, 2017.
