Linda C. Phlypo - Dailey, 63, of Andalusia, IL, formerly of Geneseo, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at her home. A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo. Deacon Harley Chaffee will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the family. Cremation rites have been accorded. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo is in charge of these arrangements.
Linda was born on December 4, 1954, the daughter of Albert and Betty Phlypo, in Geneseo, IL. She graduated from Geneseo High School. She married Donald Dailey on September 3, 2011, in Rock Island, IL. She worked for Cement and Plasters - Union 118 as a cement finisher for several Quad City construction company. Linda was a person who lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed making others happy and loved to make them laugh. A compassionate woman, she was always ready to help others above and beyond what was expected. A true friend to so many, she never knew a stranger. She had the original “heart of gold”. She was a very talented woman in many different areas whether writing, painting with oils and acrylic, sculpting with clay or snow, or cooking. Linda also enjoyed flower gardening. She was a woman who saw the good in everyone and took joy in everything. Her most outstanding talent was her uplifting personality which could make even the hardest person smile. She will be desperately missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Donald Dailey, Andalusia; brother, Tim (Loree) Phlypo, Geneseo; many close friends; and her cat.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Betty.
