Lois Floming, 86, of Osco, passed away Sunday at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Geneseo, Illinois.
Visitation will be held at Augustana Lutheran Church in Andover, IL at 9 a.m. on May 25, 2019, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Andover Township Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church after burial. The Reverend Reed Pedersen and Reverend Ted Radke will officiate. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lois was born on April 4, 1933, and was the second oldest child of Clarence and Helen Wiese. After graduating high school at JD Darnall, she married Wilbur Spencer Floming on June 28, 1952. To this union two children were born, Janis (Tom) Devlin and Timothy (Peggy) Floming. Lois was a gifted homemaker, loving sister, trusted friend and a great mother. She shared a cherished sixty-six (66) year marriage with Will and was very proud that she married her Homecoming King as well as Will marrying his Homecoming Queen.
Lois is survived by her husband and children, as well as sisters, Lucille (Ted) Radke, Mitchell, Canada, Jean Wiese Henry, Clarksville, MO, Jane Wiese Tofanelli, New Windsor, Il, Linda Wiese (Peter) Gillet, Geneseo, Il, Karen Wiese (Gary) Adamson, Alpha, Il, sister-in-laws, Laverne Wiese, Texas and Julie Wiese, Geneseo, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen, stepmother, Alice Wiese, brothers, Richard and Mark.
