Lyn Dee (Kemmis) Teerlinck

Lyn Dee Kemmis - Teerlink, 67, of Geneseo, passed away on Sunday, March 04, 2018, at Unity Point Health – Trinity, Rock Island. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the Geneseo Humane Society. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Lyn was born on March 14, 1950, the daughter of Lyle and Marilyn (Combs) Kemmis, in Geneseo, IL. She graduated from Geneseo High School with the class of 1968. Lyn worked as a wallpaper hanger and interior decorator, and started her own business, Wallpapering by Lyn, in 1983. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and a longtime member of Geneseo Junior Women’s Club, where she was a past president. Lyn enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and most of all, she loved to decorate her home.

Those left to cherish her memory include her companion and best friend, Brian (Nick) Nickolson; sons, Brandon (Mandy) Teerlinck, Bettendorf, IA, and Brent (Jennifer Quade) Teerlinck, Columbia, MO; daughter, Brittany (Pat McGrail) Teerlinck, Geneseo; and two granddaughters, Brooklyn & Bailey. Lyn is also survived by her brother, Sid (Carlene) Kemmis, Prophetstown, IL, and by four nieces.

Lyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Marilyn.
