Marjorie E. Headley

Marjorie E. Headley, 78, of Atkinson, formerly of Milan, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the Aspen Rehab & Healthcare Center, Silvis. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22^nd, 2017 at  North Cemetery in Geneseo, IL. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Easter Seals Foundation. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marjorie was born August 19, 1938, the daughter of James E. and Doris Dean (Youngquist) Morrell in Geneseo, IL. She graduated from Ellicot High School in Ellicot, Colorado and later attended Black Hawk College. Marjorie was united in marriage to James Headley on December 9, 1960, in Security, Colorado. Marjorie’s love and focus of her life were her grandchildren, especially Shelby.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James Headley, son, James “JD” Dean (Teresa) Headley, Moline, and daughter, Julianne (Scott) Branham, Atkinson. Her grandchildren are Ryan Michael Branham, Shelby Ann Branham, and Anna Louise Headley. Her siblings are, brother, Dr. Lawrence Morrell, Albuquerque,  and sisters, Ruth Sinnes, Security, CO, Pat Harper, Calhan, Co, Mary Nevling, New Windsor, IL, and Sally Schwaner, Kirksville, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Dr. Lynn Morrell, Lyle Morrell, and James Morrell, and her sisters, Betty Dahl, Shirley Hoffmeier, and Martha Molloy.
