Nicole (Carter) Besette

Nicole Besette, 42, of Atkinson, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, May 26th at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory, Geneseo.  As per her wishes, Cremation Rites have been accorded by Vandemore Crematory.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior (2-3 pm) to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Nicole Bessette Memorial Fund.

Nicole was born on October 19, 1973 in Silvis, IL, the daughter of Wayne and Suzanne (Boney) Carter.  She graduated from Geneseo High School.  She was united in marriage to Michael Besette on April 20, 2001.  Nicole enjoyed catering, singing, and crocheting.  More than anything she loved being a full time mother.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; children: Sabrinna Popp, Nathaniel Popp, Zachary Popp, Elizabeth Besette, Michael Besette, Jr., and Edward Besette; parents: Wayne and Suzanne Carter; brother: Eric (Trisha) Carter; and niece: Caroline Carter.
