Phyllis J. Diggins

Phyllis J. Diggins, 82, of Geneseo, formerly of Ballston Spa, NY, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at OSF St. Francis in Peoria, IL. Private funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2017. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be left to the family of Phyllis Diggins.  Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of these arrangements.

Phyllis was born March 18, 1935, the daughter of Phillip and Florence (VanAlstyne) Crouch, in Niskayuna, NY. She was a cook at Glendale Nursing Home in Scotia, New York for 32 years. Phyllis enjoyed going to the casino and taking her dog Corky for rides.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Dennis G. (Toni) Deland, Scotia, NY, and her daughters, Debra (Archie) Williams, Geneseo, Denise E. Ennello, Highland, IN, and Patricia (Robert) Rideout, Geneseo, along with ten grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Phyllis is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Florence, her husband, William Diggins, three brothers, three sisters, and two great-grandsons.
