Randall L. "Mole" Vandersnick

Randall L. “Mole” Vandersnick, 61, of Geneseo, IL, passed away suddenly on February 17, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.  Mole was an organ transplant donor and he will give the gift of life to numerous families.  A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb 22nd at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Geneseo.  Father Michael Pakula will celebrate.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo.  Memorials may be made to the Randall Vandersnick Memorial Fund.

Mole was born on July 19, 1955, in Geneseo, IL, the son of Marvin and Rosella (Eeckhout) Vandersnick.  He graduated from Atkinson High School in 1973.  He was united in marriage to Rhonda M. VanAntwerp on November 19, 1977, in Atkinson, IL.  Mole worked for J.F. Edwards Construction Co. in Geneseo for 30 years as an Electrical Construction Supervisor.

Mole was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church, the Geneseo Country Club, and the IBEW Local 145.  He enjoyed golfing with his son and playing cards with his buddies at their regular Sunday poker game.  He loved his Tuesday night family dinners.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; daughter, Brooke (fiancée, Ryan Sellers) Vandersnick of Geneseo; son, Bart (Kim Windisch) Vandersnick of Geneseo; grandchildren, Sage and Luna; and his mother, Rosella M. (Pickle) Vandersnick of Atkinson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin; sister, Rosalind “Roz” in 2015; and two brothers-in-law, Terry “Ray” and Russell VanAntwerp.
