Roger D. Weber

Roger D. Weber, 72, of Geneseo, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 16, 2017. Private graveside services will be held Friday, October 20, 2017, at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Deacon Harley Chaffee will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials may be left to the family of Roger Weber.

Roger was born on April 10, 1945, the son of Chester C. and Lauretta (Parpart) Weber, in Geneseo, IL. He attended and graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, IL. Roger married Jackie Morsman on November 10, 1967. The couple later divorced. He worked for International Harvester Works for 18 years, before starting his own business, Weber’s Tree Service. Roger owned and operated the tree service in Geneseo for many years. He was a member of the Colona Gun Club and a very proficient and talented trap shooter. Roger was a true outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and trapping.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Corey Weber, Mico, TX, and his daughter, Marcy (Ken) McKillip, Milan, IL. Roger’s grandchildren are Samantha Weber, Nick Parker, Blake McKillip, Kade McKillip, and Kylie McKillip, and great-granddaughter, Violet Grace Weber. His sisters are Mary (Mark) Seaholm, Moline, IL, Renee (Mark) Taylor, Moline, IL, and Trish (Jim) Rusk, Geneseo, IL.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lauretta, his step-mother, Dee, and his special friend, Jeannie Phillips.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Vickie Rogers, for her care and concern for Roger these past few years!
