Ronny W. Hodgson

Ronny W. Hodgson, 65, of Geneseo, passed away at home with his wife by his side on Sunday, July 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo. Deacon Harley Chaffee will officiate. The family requests that friends and family wear casual attire. Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Moline American Legion Post. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service, on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the Ronny Hodgson Memorial Fund.

Ron was born on December 3, 1951, the son of William B. and Dorothy E. Hodgson in Geneseo, IL. Ron attended Geneseo schools and graduated from Geneseo High School. He married Sandra J. Wanamaker-Fulton on July 4^th, 1993. Ron enjoyed photography and riding his motorcycle. He was currently working at the Moline Dispatch Publishing Company as an IT tech, and had been there for the past 21 years. Ron was a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He became a proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders following his time in the service.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, Erik W. Hodgson, of Princeton, and step-daughter, Christina (Michael) A. Brown of Geneseo; his sister, Kay (Richard) L. Stiner, and brother, Jimmy S. Hodgson, both of Geneseo; grandchildren, Shawn M. Hodgson, Tori A. Hodgson, Alex X. Brown, and Jayden H. Brown.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother and father.
