Pamela “Pam” Jane Meier, 69, of Annawan, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center – East, Davenport. Cremation Rites have been requested and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Atkinson Chapel will be assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to Annawan – Alba Fire & Rescue.
Pam was born September 15, 1954, the daughter of George and Beulah (Weidner) Pavel, in Humphrey, NE. She graduated from Orion High School, class of 1972. On November 30, 1984, Pam married Arnold Ray Meier in Annawan. She was employed as a floral designer for Emma’s Bloomers for several years. Pam enjoyed the outdoors, being outside working in her yard and flower garden brought her happiness. She loved attending her step-grandchildren’s birthday parties and events.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Arnold Ray Meier of Annawan; stepchildren, Patrick (Stephanie) Meier of Peoria, Michael (Tiffany) Meier of Metamora, Melinda (Duane) Bollengier of Moline, and Maribeth (Mitch) McNeil of Atkinson; ten step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Pat) Pavel of Salt Lake City, UT and Robert (Kristy) Pavel of NC; sisters, Connie Sand of Annawan and Sue (Steve) Livesay of Andover; and several nieces and nephews. A sister-in-law Rosemary (Glenn) Ferguson, and a brother-in-law David (Barbara) Meier.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, George and Beulah Pavel.
