In 1936, Joseph Vandemore opened the Vandemore Funeral Home in Atkinson. For more than 45 years he provided caring service to the communities of Atkinson, Annawan, and Geneseo. His values of compassionate and personal service are the foundation of the service we provide today. Our slogan of "Continuing the Tradition of Caring" is a tribute to Joseph Vandemore, for laying the foundation on which we base our reputation.
Since 1936 the Vandemore family has been serving the people of Henry County. Our reputation for providing compassionate and caring service continues today. As we enter this era of technology, we feel it is our obligation to provide the communities of Henry County with the latest resources available in funeral service. We are proud to be the first funeral home able to offer internet based technology to the communities we serve. This is our way of giving back to those who have allowed us to provide quality funeral services for them.
