Ann Elizabeth Lizotte

Ann Elizabeth Lizotte, 83, of Geneseo, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at New Perspective Senior Living in Silvis, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo. Reverend Melva England will officiate. Burial will follow at North Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church in Geneseo or the Geneseo Humane Society. 

Ann was born on November 3, 1933, the daughter of Claude and Margery (Smith) Kenney, in Winsted, CT. She graduated from Gilbert High School. Ann was united in marriage to Augustin “Augie” Lizotte on May 30, 1953, in Winsted. Augie preceded her in death in 2005. Ann worked as a homemaker during her life, raising two sons and a daughter. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Geneseo, where she was active in the Rose Circle of the Church, as well as several other committees. Ann was a member of the Christian Women’s Club for 27 years. She enjoyed reading, taking walks, and had an immense passion for her pets.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Thomas (Leslie) Lizotte, Dover-Foxcroft, ME, and Gary (Robin) Lizotte, Apple Valley Lake, OH, and her daughter, Betsey (Richard) Morthland, Cordova, IL. Her grandchildren are Andrew (Clare) Lizotte, Patrick Lizotte, Robert (April) Lizotte, and Christian (Lauren) Lizotte, Bethany (Nicholas) Paxton, and Eliza Morthland, and her great-grandchildren, Parker, Faye, Alonzo, Jude, and Robert Jr. Also surviving are her cousin, Barbara Sharfman, CT, and her special friend, Bernie DeKiezel, Geneseo.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Margery, two husbands, Thomas Lowrey and Augustin Lizotte, and her sister, Jane.
