Bebe Ingram Obituary

Bebe L. Ingram, 84, of Leander, TX, formerly of Annawan, IL, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2019. A visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Vandemore Funeral Home – Atkinson Chapel. A funeral service will follow immediately at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Annawan Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bebe Lee Ingram Memorial fund.

Bebe was born on February 27, 1934, the daughter of Murrell and Wilhelmina (Knapp) Eyer. She married Thomas B. Ingram in Geneseo, IL on September 25, 1960. Thomas preceded her in death on December 2, 1992.  Bebe attended Annawan schools and was a graduate of Siona School of Beauty Culture and the Virginia Farrell Advanced Training School of Beauty. She attended the American Institute of Commerce, in Davenport, IA. She owned and operated Bebe’s Beautiland in Kewanee, Princeton, and Annawan. She and Thomas also owned Hi Quality Auto Body, Geneseo Ford Tractor Sales, and Ingram Painting and Sandblasting, all in Geneseo. They also owned H&I Quality Ford Sales, Atkinson and the Tomahawk Gasoline Station, Annawan. Bebe was employed by Carson Pirie Scott and Company for over two decades.

Bebe was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Annawan and the Harvest Bible Chapel, in Rolling Meadows, IL. She performed as a singer on the WOC radio show, “Trick the Trio.” She was the vice-president of the Annawan Music Boosters, a member of the Annawan Women’s Club, and the Annawan Kiwanis Theater Troupe. She was active in various church committees and a volunteer for Walk In The Word Ministries for over a decade.

Those who loved her deeply and are left to remember Bebe are Shelby (Jeff) Naugle, of Elgin, IL, Kelli (Maurice) Hamilton, of Alpharetta, GA and Craig (Amy Meyerdirk Ingram) Ingram, of Leander, TX. Bebe’s grandchildren are Andrew Naugle, Bradley (Olivia) Naugle, Caleb Naugle, Joel Naugle, Kora Ingram, and Clayton Ingram.

Bebe was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, her parents, sister – Janet Eyer, and four grandchildren.
