Beverly J. (Clason) Bryan

Beverly J. (Clason) Bryan, 79, of Colona, left this earth Friday morning, July 21, 2017, to join her loved ones in heaven. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, July 27^th at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 26^th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo. Memorials may be left to the Geneseo Humane Society.

Beverly Clason was born May 14, 1938 in Soldiers Grove, WI, the daughter of Rollo and Charlotte (Ward) Clason. They moved to Illinois and became farmers. Bev married Harvey Beattie in 1956, and from that union her two sons, Scott and Todd, were born. She later married Blair Bryan, Jr. in Colona, IL. The years she spent with Blair were the happiest years of her life. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2012. She was a longtime cashier and checkout clerk for Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard in Milan, then lastly at Farm & Fleet in Moline. Bev had a love for horses and dogs, and she owned several of both in her lifetime. She will be remembered for being a fantastic cook and her talent for baking apple pies. Bev also took pride in, and enjoyed decorating her home.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leroy Clason, sister Barbara Oltman, and her husband Blair Bryan, Jr.

Bev is survived by her oldest son Scott Beattie of Dallas, TX, her son Todd (Cindy) Beattie, their daughter Jayme, who was very special to her, and a grand-daughter Alexcia Lamberson, who made her smile.
