Dorothy L. Rahn

Dorothy L. Rahn, 88, of Geneseo, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.  Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  Reverend Becky Sherwood will officiate.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to Dorothy Rahn Memorial Fund.

Dorothy was born on April 7, 1931, the daughter of Willard and Lillian (Burke) Privia, in Davenport, IA.  She married Laurell G. Rahn on November 24, 1951, in Kahoka, MO.  He preceded her in death in 1986.  She enjoyed playing the organ, accordion, and bingo.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Judy Hall, Princeton, IL; two sons, Ronald (LeJeane) Rahn, East Moline, Brian (Joyce) Willis, Hot Springs, AR; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Laurell, her parents, and one sister, Mary Kay Wulf.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Hillcrest Home & Hospice Compassus for their loving care for Dorothy!
