Eric M. Noyd

Eric M. Noyd 48, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, at Countryside Christian Church in Port Byron. Pastor Andy Adams will officiate. Cremations rites will be accorded following the funeral service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo Chapel. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. by the Viola Masonic Lodge. Memorials may be made to the Rock River Christian Camp or the Moline Chapter of Eastern Star.

Eric was born on July 27, 1970, the son of Michael and Linda (Liby) Noyd, in Rock Island, IL. Eric married Jane E. Tjardes, on April 4, 2009, in Urbana, IL. He was employed at Dohrn Transfer Co. in Rock Island as a data analyst. Eric was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Viola Masonic Lodge #577. He was a member of the London Masonic Lodge in Silvis, the Moline Eastern Star, and the Scottish Rite where he was a 32nd MSA. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Black Hawks, and Fighting Illini fan. He was a fan of all sports. Eric enjoyed brewing beer, watching Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. Eric especially enjoyed going on cruises with his loving wife, Jane.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jane; his parents, Michael and Linda of Cambridge, IL; one brother, Travis (Stephanie) of Andover, IL; mother-in-law, Marilyn Tjardes of Foosland, IL; brother-in-law, Phil (Jayne) Tjardes of Gibson City, IL; sister-in-law,  Jan (Larry) Pfeiffer of Carlinville, IL; and nine nieces and nephews.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents.
