Howard W. Bartley

Howard W. Bartley, 78, of Cambridge, formerly of Pekin, IL, died Saturday, June 10^th at Hillcrest Home in Geneseo. Cremation rites have been accorded. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Howard was born on June 13, 1938, the son of Gilbert and Daphine (Brown) Gilbert, in Pekin, IL. He married Lura L. Williams on August 22, 1958, in Kingston Mines, IL. Howard worked as an oiler for Corn Products in Pekin, IL for over 40 years, where he retired from. He was a former member of the Moose and Eagle Lodges. Howard enjoyed restoring antique cars and cherished the time he spent with his wife, Lura, in Florida.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lura; daughters, Lynn (Dan) Cole of Geneseo, Annette Bartley of Pekin, and Janice (Scott) Muzzarelli, of Normal; grandchildren, Ryan Cole, and Valerie DeReu; and five great-grandchildren.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Daphine, and his brother, Donald.
