Jennifer R. "Jenny" DeGeeter

Jennifer “Jenny” R. DeGeeter, 49, of Silvis, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Haven’s House CILA, Silvis, IL, where she was a resident. Her mother was by her side. A private memorial Mass will be held at a later date. A private graveside service will then be held at St. Anthony Cemetery, Atkinson, IL. Vandemore Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting with arrangements. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Donations may be made to Unity Point Hospice, or Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, IL.

Jenny was born on May 22, 1969, the daughter of Judy DeGeeter, in Geneseo, IL. She graduated from Rock Island High School. She attended the Opportunity Center Day Program in Moline, IL. She enjoyed shopping events, special activities at the CILA, music and television programs. She loved Christmas – it was her favorite holiday.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Judy DeGeeter, of Moline; uncle, Jim (Karen) DeGeeter, Morton, IL; cousins, Jayson DeGeeter, Chicago, IL, Matthew DeGeeter, Washington, D.C., and Michelle (Michael) Miller, and their children, Alex, Sam, Grant and Drew Miller, Streetsboro, OH.

Jenny was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Pearl DeGeeter.
