Our sincerest sympathy to all who knew and loved this kindest and sweetest of women. I havee the fondest memories of Joanie growing up in my grandparents home. Her parents visited my grandparents often and she came along to entertain her little cousin. May she rest in peace and all who remain be blessed by the memory of her life.

Having only met Joann a few times with Norma Grothus (who married my brother John, RIP),
I remember her sweetness and ready smile; she took time to chat and always was gracious.
My sympathy to the family and to her friends; it is difficult to let a loved one go, but to heaven she will go. Blessings and prayers, Donna Jean Knickrehm

This dear lady touched people’s hearts with her caring, positive, warm personality. She loved sports & knew the latest score of any game her relatives were playing. She cared deeply for her family & her church. Her smile& laugh gave me joy. I enjoyed visiting with her. She will be missed by our family. Yet I have no doubt that reuniting with passed family & friends in Heaven will keep her busy for some time.

We were sad to read of Joann's passing. She was such a special lady and a comfort to all. Joann was a good friend to Ann. They both loved horses, horse racing, and other sports. They loved watching and discussing the triple crown races and big games. We sure will miss seeing her at her longtime spot at the funeral home. Our sympathies to all that loved her.

Joann was always so kind. I remember when she stood with me when I styled my mother-in-law's hair before her viewing. I had never experienced working with someone who had passed. She made it easy and a most touching experience. There was always a sense of order and comfort when she presided at the guest book during a visitation. You, the family, have my sympathy for the loss of this dear soul.

My parents became friends of Joann'e parents when I was a teen, as we became interested in horses also...which led to going to several of her lovely and fancy horse shows...! So I have always, thru the years had a friendly greeting from here wherever I
would meet her. Se was a lovely, warm lady! I'm glad I had the privilege of knowing her.
I am sorry I cannot be with you at visitation to convey that....my condolences.
Fondly, Carolyn Stenzel

My heart is truly saddened. She was the sweetest lady I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I always enjoyed seeing her post office. She was always ready with a warm hug, a gentle pat of the hand, and great conversation. She was a bright spot in any kind of day. She will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to the entire Vandemore family. May you find comfort in the memories. Rest In Peace, Joann.
