Jon R Howell

Jon R. Howell, 49, of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Hillsdale and Cordova, IL passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Regency Place of Greenwood, Greenwood, IN.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 25 at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. Rev. Don Masterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Family and friends of Jon may call 10:00 am - 11:00 am prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the Jon Howell Memorial Fund.

Jon was born on January 15, 1960 in Moline, IL the son of James R. and Diane (Hawley) Howell. He was a 1978 graduate of Riverdale High School. Jon was united in marriage to Ann Morthland on March 25, 1978 in Cordova, IL. Jon had a long career in the building material industry and was the branch manager of Cook County Lumber, Indianapolis, IN. Jon was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife Ann, a daughter Renae Howell, sons Rob (Tiffany) Howell, and Nathan Howell, all of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren Maddie, Abby, and Izzy, his mother and step-father Diane (Wade) Hermann, East Moline, IL; a sister Jennifer White, East Moline, IL; and a brother and spouse Jim (Denise) Howell, Geneseo, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother James R. & Dolores Howell.
