Due to severe weather conditions, services for Kelly A. Liedtke, 55, of East Moline, have been changed to - funeral service - 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, at First United Methodist Church in Geneseo. Reverend Dr. Christopher Ritter will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation - Sunday, February 3, from 3:00-7:00 p.m., at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo Chapel.
Kelly was born on June 20, 1963, the daughter of Richard and Peggy (Hawkins) King, in Streator, IL. She graduated from Atkinson High School and attended Black Hawk College. Kelly married Kurt Liedtke on September 15, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church in Geneseo. She was employed at Trinity-Unity Point as a cashier, and emergency room & clinic registration clerk for 25 years. Kelly was a volunteer at the John Deere Classic for 25 years. She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Kelly was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. She loved babies, and enjoyed babysitting at the church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kurt; parents, Richard and Peggy King, Atkinson; son, Blake Opsal & his fiancé Michaela Dorbeck, Coal Valley; daughter, Danita Opsal, E. Moline; brother, Patrick King, Atkinson; and sister, Jodi (Clayton) Casteel, Cambridge. Kelly was preceded in death by her grandparents.
