Linda K. Ward

Linda Kay Ward, 73, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society – Geneseo Village. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo Chapel. Deacon Harley Chaffee will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services (1-2 p.m.) at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Abilities Plus, in Kewanee.

Linda was born on March 7, 1945, the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Johnson) Ward, in Geneseo, IL. She attended school in Geneseo. She loved to play Bingo and cards with her friends. Linda attended Abilities plus in Kewanee, for several years where she made many great friends.    She was an avid collector of Beanie Babies!

Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her brother, Jack (Cheryl) Ward, of Cordova, IL; nephew, Matt (Jaime) Ward, Chandler, AZ, and niece, Molly (Mark) Biedenfeld, Edina, MN; her great-nephew, Colton Ward and great-niece, Claire Biedenfeld.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elsie.
