I am so very sorry to hear of Maralyn"s passing. She will truly be missed by us here at the Spalding Pastoral Center. She was always a delight when she was here with the DCCW. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Dear Jack, Bill and Fran, I'm writing to offer my sincere sympathy for the passing of your sister, Maralyn. "Bwen" was the sister I never had from Kindergarten to Grade School, High School and to the present. When I called her last Tuesday, as I frequently did, she was the same bouncy, chatty sweet gal that I enjoyed for many years. I know that she has left some very special memories that you will cherish all the days ahead, as will I. We will all be better persons for having known this very special little gal!! So sorry to hear of her passing. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Guthrie teaching us songs from Broadway musicals and exposing us/me to music that has endured to now. She was a special person and teacher. I will always remember her.

I remember being in Maralyn's music class just like it was yesterday. I wished I had been as good a student as she was a teacher. I thought she was always so sharp and really enjoyed what she was doing at all times. A very well prepared teacher for all of her students and delivered it all with a smile. As time went on I had the privilege to cross paths with Maralyn many times over the years and every time she always was smiling and was such a pleasure to visit with. Such a Lady will always be missed.

Maralyn was a classy lady, both on the inside and outside, who truly lived the motto: Faith, Family & Friends. All were important to her and evidenced by her words and actions. I first got to know her from golf league and as a Hammond Henry Hospital Auxiliary member. I am grateful our paths crossed and will miss her.

I have great memories working with Maralyn at Atkinson Elementary School. She loved music and demonstrated that each day to her students. She always had a smile and such a positive attitude. I saw her recently at Fareway and we had a nice visit. She will be missed.
