Marina Koustas Obituary

Marina Koustas, 55, of Geneseo, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at her home. Per her request cremation rites have been accorded. No services will be held. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel will be assisting with arrangements.

Marina was born on August 21, 1963, the daughter of Angelos and Panageota “Betty” (Peponis) Koustas, in Geneseo, IL. She attended Geneseo High School. Marina was employed by Walmart as a sales associate for many years. She attended Greek Orthodox Church of Rock Island.

Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Angelos; her brother, George (Tara) Koustas, Geneseo; nieces, Beth Ann Koustas, Springfield, IL, Madison Koustas, Geneseo; nephew, Nicholas Koustas, Geneseo; and two close friends, Christina Miranda, and Vivian Paxton.

She was preceded in death by her mother Betty.
