Mark D Wisely

Mark D. Wisely, 58, of Atkinson, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019, at his home.  Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo.  Reverend Stephen Mueller will officiate.  Burial will follow at Atkinson Township Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Visitation will also be offered one hour prior to the funeral service at Concordia Lutheran Church on July 18, 2019.  Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mark was born on December 2, 1960, the son of James and Joan (Greiert) Wisely, in Kewanee, IL.  He graduated from Geneseo High School in 1979.  He was a driver for Betcher Trucking, in Annawan, for 27 years.  Mark enjoyed restoring old cars and trucks.  He enjoyed his motorcycles and motorcycle riding.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Martha (Dan) Fleming, Geneseo, Dee Lineberry, Katy, TX, and Karen Wisely, Denton, TX; brothers, Tom (Jamie) Wisely, Chillicothe, IL, Rodney Wisely, Prophetstown, IL, and Greg (Juanita) Wisely, Prophetstown, IL; special friend, Karen Wisely, Port Byron, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Janet Gibson.
