Mary B. Stach, 61, of Geneseo, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Hammond Henry Hospital Emergency Room in Geneseo, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo Chapel. Reverend David Murphy will officiate. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Atkinson. Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Memorials may be directed to the Mary B. Stach Memorial Fund.
Mary was born on January 2, 1957, the daughter of Stuart and Bessie (Gibson) Stach, in Mena, AK. She was a graduate of Geneseo High School with the class of 1975. Mary was employed at Munson’s Restaurant in Geneseo, at Good Samaritan, and the Iron Kettle. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Geneseo, a current member of the Women of the Moose, and she played in the Geneseo Kitchen Band. Mary enjoyed watching old western movies, coloring, and loved music, especially Elvis Presley. She loved her family and was very dedicated to them.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers, Kenrick (Cary) Stach, of Geneseo, and Dean (Sandie) Stach, of Mesa, AZ; and sisters, Becky Stach, of AZ, and Janice (Brad Gradert) Stach, of Geneseo. Mary is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Stuart and Bessie Stach.
