Marylyn J. Lind

Marylyn J. Lind, 84, formerly of Geneseo and Hillsdale, passed away on Monday, August 06, 2018, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo Chapel, where the visitation will be held one hour prior, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Deacon Harley Chaffee will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Greenview Memorial Garden Cemetery in East Moline. Memorials may be directed to the Marylyn Lind Memorial Fund.

Marylyn was born on August 26, 1933, the daughter of Maurice and Irene (Kline) Eechout, in Moline, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Paul G. Lind on June 9, 1950, in Moline. Paul preceded her in death in 2016. Marylyn was a beautician and she owned and operated a salon from her home in Geneseo and Hillsdale for many years. She had a love for ceramics and antiquing. Some of her favorite antiquing finds were tea pots, which combined her two favorite things!

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Vicki (John) Hill, of Geneseo, and son, Craig Lind, of Rock Island. Marylyn is also survived by three grandchildren, Mindi (Damien) Baumann, Heidi (Carl) Freeman, and Austin Lind, and six great-grandchildren, Molli, Seth, and Ethan Baumann, and Kayci, Cole, and Cooper Freeman.

Marylyn was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Irene, husband, Paul, son, Rick Lind, and a sister, Maureen Riperton.
