Milfred Story Obituary

Milfred F. Story, 85, of Geneseo, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, there will be no public services. A private graveside inurnment will be held at a later date, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Chicago. Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory, Geneseo, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Milfred Story Memorial Fund.

Milfred was born November 20, 1933, the son of Clinton and Pearl (Davis) Story, in Dothan, Alabama. He married Jennie Schulz on February 14, 1953. She preceded him in death in 2002. He worked as a quality control engineer for various companies. He enjoyed playing the clarinet and especially listening to Benny Goodman and the old swing bands.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Glenn Story, Geneseo, and Deborah (Ed Carter) Story, Geneseo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Pearl, and his wife, Jennie.
