It's so sad to have another of our G.T.H.S. class of '48 leave us! Phyllis was one of a group of us who started together in kindergarten & continued all the way through high school. At one time, in South Side Grade School a small group of us girls formed a club - Phyllis was a part of that I always thought of her as one of our class "intellectuals." She was admired and respected. Later, as adults, I heard she was extremely proficient at working beside Dale on the farm. To that I say, "Way to go,, Girl!" Gail, your mother will be remembered with affection & respect!

Dear Bridge Player GAil and Life Guard Willocene, I got to know your Mom when she worked for Bob White. She was a fine professional secretary and a welcoming receptionist. Our best to you and the family. Gene Eiklor

Our sympathies are sent to Phyllis' family. Your parents were always good supporters of the dances, both locally in Walcott and throughout Iowa. What fun to see your parents together on the dance floor.

Phyllis was such a big part of my high school years. We shared the love of theater with plays and individual events, Athenian Club, Chorus, Gleeful Club, Ms. Magen's cooking class, Science
Club, Senior Play, Booster Club and all the dances when none of the boys would dance with girls.
She was a very good friend and a dear and lovely woman.
My sincere sympathy to all of the family.
