Robert Beyerlein Obituary

Robert N. Beyerlein, 72, of Geneseo, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Hammond Henry Hospital – Emergency Room, Geneseo.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  A celebration of life and gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at First Lutheran Church, Fellowship Hall.  Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting with the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, Geneseo and Henry County Humane Society – Geneseo.

 

Robert was born on August 19, 1946, in Santa Monica, CA, the son of Jack and Ruth (Nielsen) Beyerlein.  He married Debra L. Grudzinski on December 21, 1974, in Rock Island, IL. 

 

Robert graduated from Rock Island High School and earned an associate degree in Computer Technology from Eastern Iowa Community College.  He worked at John Deere & Company for over thirty years as a computer programmer and systems auditor.  He was a 32nd-degree Mason and member of the Clement Masonic Lodge #0680, Colona.  He was an avid Corvette enthusiast and collector.  He was a founding and lifetime member of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debra; his daughter, Jennifer (Colton Moore) Beyerlein, Clarence, IA; mother-in-law, Bernice Grudzinski, Geneseo; brother-in-law, Gregory Grudzinski, Apple Valley, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
