Roger W. Miller

Roger W. Miller, 77, of Geneseo, passed away on January 10, 2018, at Hammond Henry Long Term Care in Geneseo, IL. A graveside inurnment ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Deacon Harley Chaffee will officiate. Memorials can be directed to the Geneseo Human Society. Cremation rites have been accorded. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with these arrangements.

Roger was born on September 14, 1940, the son of Ralph W. and Maxine E. (Lund) Miller, in Geneseo, IL. He graduated from Geneseo High School. Roger worked for John Deere Plow Works as a repairman and inspector for 44 years before his retirement in 2008. Roger was a member of the Lutheran faith. He loved his home and took great pride in taking care of it and his yard. Roger enjoyed trips to the casino and loved spending time with his dogs.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Frances (William) Westerlund, Orion, IL; special friends, Debbie Campbell and Mike Johnson; and six nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Maxine, and his brother, William R. Miller.
