Anthony E. Gordon

Anthony “Tony” E. Gordon, 76, of Geneseo, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at his home.  A private memorial service will be held Friday, July 24, 2020, at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Tony will be inurned with his true love, Marion.  Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting with arrangements.  Memorials may be directed to the Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo, IL.

Tony was born June 19, 1944, the son of Eugene and Lela (Pearl) Gordon, in Webster City, IA.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University.  Tony proudly served in the United States Army.  He married Marion Nöelle on February 5, 1965, in Nürnberg, Germany.  He was employed as a welder for International Harvester.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Patrick (April) Gordon, Tulsa, OK; and his two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lela, and his loving wife, Marion, and sisters, Eva and Opel.
