Arthur Francis Coppejans

 Arthur Francis Coppejans, 88, of Geneseo passed away on March 16, 2026, peacefully at his home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Vandemore Funeral Home – Geneseo at 11 A.M. Pastor Mueller will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Anthonys Catholic Cemetery in Atkinson, IL. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 10- A.M. – 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Geneseo Humane Society.

Art was born on April 22, 1937, the son of Raymond and Selma (Mariman) Coppejans at his home Geneseo, IL. He attended Buda High School. He was a skilled welder first learning the skills as Kewanee Boiler Corp. He worked for John Deere Harvester, retiring in 2005. He married Janet Ball in 1997 in Shell Rock Iowa at Peace Lutheran Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janet Coppejans; son, Richard Coppejans; sisters, Marrietta Andrews, Roseann (Clint) Warren; brother, James (Darlene) Coppejans; sister-in-law, Margaret Coppejans.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Selma; son, Randy Coppejans; and brother, Ron Coppejans.
