Barbara (Schurvinske) Setterberg

Barbara Setterberg, 77, of Geneseo, IL, passed away on October 26, 2024, at Allure of Geneseo. Per her wishes, she will be cremated, and no services will be held. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory-Geneseo Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made c/o Eileen Schurvinske to be dispersed.

Barb was born on November 18, 1946, in Geneseo, the daughter of Earl and Irma (Jaquet) Schurvinske. She married Richard Setterberg, and later they divorced. Barb worked at Good Samaritan in Geneseo as a dietary aid and cook for 25 years before retiring. She loved to do word search puzzles, listen to country music, collect deer figurines, and sit out on the front porch with her father. She was also a member of the Geneseo Moose. 

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Angela (Wesley) McJunkin of Geneseo; siblings; Sandy Hilligoss, Eileen Schurvinske, Sharon (Steve) Lofgren, and Charles (Brenda Ferguson) Schurvinske, all of Geneseo; six nieces; four nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Irma Schurvinske; brother, James Schurvinske; and infant brother, Robert Earl Schurvinske.
