Betty Lou Kinzer, 90, of Geneseo, passed away on February 18, 2026, at Woodridge Assisted Living in Geneseo, IL. A funeral service will be held on February 21, 2026, at Vandemore Funeral Home – Geneseo, IL. Pastor Barry Wynveen will officiate. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Geneseo Humane Society or First Presbyterian Church.
Betty was born on June 2, 1935, in Canton, IL, the loving daughter of Perry and Olivene (Ellis) Williams. She graduated from Canton High School in 1953 and went on to marry her husband, John Kinzer that same year on October 18. He preceded her in death. Betty volunteered for many years at the Geneseo Atkinson Food pantry. She was also a member of the Geneseo Eastern Star. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Geneseo. In her free time, Betty enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Michael (Pamela) Kinzer of Chattanooga, TN, Mary Ellen (Curtis) Estrada of Bolivar, MO; sisters, Linda (Richard) Voorhees of Springfield, OH and Judy (Jim) Bartlett of San Jose, CA; sister in laws, Hazel Kinzer of Galva, IL, Jeanie Kinzer of Williamsfield, IL, and Sherry Kinzer of Canton, IL; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Nick (Christina) Kinzer, Curtis Estrada, Jason (Steve) Estrada, Greg Estrada, Nathan (Patricia) Estrada; great grandchildren, Harper and Avery Kinzer, Christina, Evan, Jaiden, Aden, and Zoe Estrada; and great great grandchild, Salem Estrada-Helms.
