Billie "June" Hagberg

Billie “June” J. Hagberg, 87, of Atkinson, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Allure of Geneseo.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.  Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate.  Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Memorials may be directed to Allure of Geneseo, 704 S. Illinois Street, Geneseo, IL, 61254.

Billie “June” was born May 30, 1938, in Bowling Green, Missouri, and was the beloved daughter of Paul and LaVita Hannah. She became a devoted farm wife, embodying the warmth and resilience of rural life. In 1970, Billie married Eric Hagberg. For many years, she worked at LaRoma’s and the Iron Kettle in Geneseo, Illinois, where her dedication earned her lasting appreciation from the customers. June enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers, which adorned her home, and spending time with her friends and loved ones on outings to dinner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Eric Hagberg of Atkinson; children, Marvin (Deanna) Hagberg of South Sioux City, NE, and Bob (Jennifer) Dillender of Roseberg, OR; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Wayne (Becky) Hannah, Ellen Lookhe, and Lisa Zeltner.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and LaVita Hannah; daughter, Paula Finch-Poley; sister, Connie Grover; and Richard Hannah and Charles Hannah.
