Billy John Frankenreider, 76, of Annawan, Il passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 23, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory-Atkinson Chapel. Rev. Terry Lancaster will officiate. He will be laid to rest at Annawan Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Henry Co. Beef Association or Annawan High School FFA.
Bill was born on August 29, 1947, to parents, Joseph Frankenreider and Hazel Crawford. Bill married Charlene Howlett on December 22, 2014. Bill went to Annawan High School, Class of 1965. After school he started farming and raising cattle. You could find Bill at the County fairs beaming with pride as his daughter took home several champion ribbons for their prize-winning show cattle. Together with his son and his wife, he started The Frankenreider Cattle Company and Feedlot. Bill was proud of his children’s success in business and public service. He loved his grandchildren and couldn’t have been prouder of each of them. Billy loved hunting, was an excellent cook and enjoyed a good game of cards.
Surviving Bill are his wife, Charlene Frankenreider of Annawan, Daughter Raquel Frankenreider of Yorkville, Sons Shannon (Chelsea) Frankenreider of Annawan and Austin (Amanda) Frankenreider of Atkinson and step children Chad (Kristin) Howlett of Evansville, WI and Amber (John) Dalziel of Ripon, WI; 12 grandchildren: Peyton Frankenreider, Baylor, Charlie, and Collins Frankenreider, Layne and Pence Frankenreider, Asia, Kane, Layne, and Race Howlett, and Liam and Parker Dalziel; 2 sisters Ruthann (Frank) Harter of Shawnee, KS and Judy (John) Reider of Annawan, 1 sister-in-law: Becky Bengston, 2 brother-in-laws Doug (Lori) Parker of Normal and Ed Gerdes of Princeton, and his In-laws, Maynard and Marge Parker of Walnut.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Hazel, brother Jim Frankenreider, and sister - in - law Sharon Gerdes.
