Bonnie Anderson-Wells, 78, of Riverdale, IA, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Woodridge Assisted Living – Geneseo, IL, surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Reverend Melva Englund will officiate. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Geneseo. The visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. before the funeral service. Memorials may be directed to QC Paws, 4001 78th Avenue, Moline, IL, 61265.
Bonnie was born August 22, 1946, in Bellville, IL, the daughter of Harold and Alice (Oplt) Benton. She married Gerald Anderson. He preceded her in death. Later, she married Richard Wells. Bonnie was employed in food service at Geneseo High School and Northside Elementary School. She was a Grace United Methodist Church member, enjoyed camping, and loved spending time with friends and family (especially her children and grandchildren).
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Richard Wells of Riverdale, IA; children, Marty (Libby) Anderson of Geneseo and Steve (Jenifer) Anderson of Coal Valley, IL; daughter-in-law, Carri Anderson of Geneseo; stepson Jeff (Pauline) Wells of Riverdale, IA; grandchildren, Justin (Gabby) Anderson, Nickolas (Maddie) Anderson, Madeline Anderson, Morgan (Colton Franck) Anderson, Max Anderson, and Brooke (Andrew) Anselmi; step-grandchildren, Stephanie Wells and Jessica Wells; great-grandchildren, Brinley, Addison, Avery, Brielle, Ophelia, and baby Anderson is on the way.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Sharpe, Harold Benton, and stepfather, Wendell Sharpe; first husband, Gerald Anderson; son, Randy Anderson; and brother, Harold Benton, Jr.
